Field Service Technician – West Flanders Region

Waregem

The job

Are you a technician who enjoys variety, technical challenges and working independently? Would you like to start your day from home and make a real difference for customers every day? Then you could be the Field Service Technician we're looking for.

As a Field Service Technician, you are the technical expert our customers rely on. Thanks to your expertise, forklifts continue to operate safely, reliably and efficiently. Every day, you work on a diverse fleet of forklifts, ensuring our customers can keep their operations running smoothly.

What does your day look like?

You start your day from home and drive your fully equipped service van to your first customer. During the night, your van is restocked with the necessary parts, so you're ready to get to work straight away.

At customer sites, you carry out maintenance, diagnose faults and repair forklifts. One intervention may involve scheduled maintenance, while the next could be an urgent breakdown or a complex repair. Every day brings new technical challenges.

After each intervention, you complete your digital service report. Our dispatch team plans your schedule efficiently, allowing you to focus on what you do best: solving technical problems and supporting customers.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on forklifts.

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

  • Carry out repairs at customer sites across West or East Flanders.

  • Complete digital service reports.

  • Advise customers on the use and maintenance of their forklifts while delivering excellent service.

Your profile

  • You have a technical education or equivalent experience.

  • You have a solid knowledge of electrical systems. Experience with electric drives or battery systems is an advantage.

  • Knowledge of combustion engines is a plus.

  • Experience with forklifts or mobile equipment is an asset, but not required.

  • You enjoy working independently and solving technical problems.

  • You have a customer-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

  • You are eager to learn and continue developing your technical expertise.

  • You hold a valid category B driving licence.

  • You speak Dutch fluently. Knowledge of French or English is considered an asset.

What's in it for you?

  • Permanent contract

  • Fully equipped service van with fuel card

  • Your working day starts from home

  • Diagnostic laptop and company smartphone

  • 15 additional paid leave days (ADV)

  • Training and development through our Academy

  • Hospitalisation and group insurance

  • Meal vouchers worth €10 per working day

  • Bicycle leasing programme

  • CAO 90 performance bonus

Help keep our customers moving

Your expertise keeps our customers' forklifts running safely and reliably. In return, you'll enjoy independence, trust and plenty of opportunities to grow within a stable and growing company.
